With reference to item 6 of the Minutes of

the 29th meeting I circulate for the Committee's

consideration a Memorandum by Lord Lugard.

Lord Lugard, besides being an ex-Governor of

the Colony, is a Life Member of the Court of the

University, and a Member of its London Consulting

Committee. He is also the Representative on the

Universities' Bureau of the Hong Kong Uni ver sity and

a Member of the Uni ver sities China Committee.
